Most Year 10 students will return to Kambalda West District High School and study for two more years, completing secondary studies: only two more years of school before moving on to new life experiences!

The school wants all students to choose an appropriate Year 11 and 12 pathway, that provides the foundation for future success.

An appropriate Year 11 and 12 pathway consists of a course that is appropriately challenging and achievable. Success will lead to increased opportunities and desired post-school destinations.

The handbook provides a summary of all Year 11 and 12 courses offered at Kambalda West DHS. It is also a reference for the Western Australian Certificate of Education (WACE) requirements, TAFE requirements and other important information. Advice and information about school pathways and courses are also available from the Deputy Principals, form room teachers and the Principal.

It is very exciting to welcome the first Year 12s, for quite a number of years, back to our school. We aim to move students successfully into further education and training or employment. We value a life-long desire for learning and encourage a strong work ethic. We are passionate about building links with local community and share the Shire of Coolgardie's values and expectations about youth engagement and employment. We are really looking forward to the partnerships we are building with the Shire.

While you will find a lot of information in the handbook, you are encouraged to talk with your son or daughter about their future decisions.
